Private Drivers Are Worth It
While renting a car can work for some couples, many people find the Amalfi Coast far more enjoyable without driving themselves.
Parking is limited, roads are narrow, and traffic can be intense during peak season. Not to mention, ferries can have limited schedules and the buses can be slow and packed.
Hiring private transportation can honestly remove so much stress and allows you to fully enjoy the scenery without worrying about navigating coastal roads.

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most in-demand elopement destinations in the world, and things book up fast — especially from May through September.
